Hashem's House is a post-denominational synaogogue and interfaith house of prayer for all of Hashem's (G-d's) children, located here in Austin, Texas, in the middle of the Hill Country.  We provide services for all children of Hashem, regardless of race, religion, gender or any other persuasion that some folks seem to put a lot of stock in!  We're just glad you took the time to find us!

There's an old Talmudic story that goes:  a bird and a fish can fall in love and get married, but where do they build their nest?  With us, of course.  Hashem's House is the spiritual home for those who have none.  You can join Hashem's House by clicking on Contact Us...sign up and you are automatically a member...you've found a new spiritual home.  We sometimes like to say, "we're the spiritual home for those who don't have one...or are looking for a new one!"  Welcome home.  There will be plenty of time for you to make a tax deductible donation if you'd like, later on.

At this time most of the money we are raising is going towards getting Hashem's House's social service arm operable.  Currently we are involved in working with AustinFreeNet which brings computer literacy to populations who don't ordinarily have computer access.  Through AustinFreeNet we are also getting involved with groups of women who need help after they've broken free of abusive relationships.

The Children of Hashem's House, the social service arm of Hashem's House is also in the process of working with Austin Community College to assist Foster Care Alumni to finish college.  We're in the process of writing a grant for a national story clearinghouse for Foster Care Alumni stories so that we have the evidence we need to go out for further funding for our main project;  the building of the Alex Fernandez House which will house the students and be a center for services.

The Seminary @ Hashem's House is actively seeking a What If? start-up fund grant to help expand our Interfaith Rabbi program, one of the only such programs in the country.  We've already ordained our first three interfaith rabbis and hope this is only the beginning.

Besides Shabbat and Holiday services, Hashem's House provides for ceremonies of all life-cycle events including but not limited to weddings, baby namings, funerals, memorials and commitments.  We also provide spiritual counseling and healing.

Hashem's House is also the home of The Seminary @ Hashem's House, currently offering a 13 month course in Interfaith Ministry leading to an ordination from an interfaith temple in NYC and registration at NY City Hall as a clergy.  Check out our Seminary @ Hashem's House page for more information.

We hope to see you again! Check back later for new updates to our website. There's much more to come!
